     NXP Semiconductors at NVIDIA GTC announced a partnership with NVIDIA to deploy NVIdia-trained AI models into NXP's broad edge processing portfolio through the eIQ machine learning development environment. The integration of the capabilities of the NVIDIA TAO tool Suite with the NXP eIQ machine learning development environment is exciting, enabling developers to accelerate development in the increasingly competitive field of artificial intelligence. NXP is the first semiconductor vendor to integrate the NVIDIA TAO API directly into its AI products to help developers more easily deploy trained AI models at the edge.

     Simplifying the training and deployment of AI models is one of the major challenges facing developers in the field of AI today. To address this challenge, NXP partnered with NVIDIA to integrate the NVIDIA TAO API directly into NXP's eIQ machine learning development environment. The NVIDIA TAO low-code AI framework makes it easier for developers to leverage trained AI models and fine-tune and optimize them for specific uses through transfer learning, while the NXP eIQ development environment integrates software, inference engines, neural network compilers, and optimized libraries. Simplifies the process of deploying models to the edge. Through this technology integration, customers will benefit from accelerated AI development, access to a library of pre-tested AI models, and deployment of AI models into NXP's broad edge processor portfolio.

"This collaboration accelerates edge AI deployment by leveraging highly accurate and optimized AI models tuned by NVIDIA TAO and seamlessly integrating the models into the NXP eIQ development environment."

     With the NXP eIQ machine learning software development environment, users can leverage AI algorithms across NXP's broad portfolio of microcontrollers and microprocessors. eIQ machine learning software is fully integrated into NXP's MCUXpresso SDK and Yocto Project Linux development environment, making it easy for developers to develop complete system-level applications.

     The eIQ machine learning development environment will integrate directly with the NVIDIA TAO API to provide a unified platform for the training, optimization, and deployment of AI models. NVIDIA TAO offers an API-based workflow that utilizes a range of pre-trained models and transfer learning, allowing users to build custom AI models. NVIDIA TAO can also provide several optimizations, such as model pruning, to improve inference throughput.
