Vishay introduces knob potentiometers to simplify industrial and audio application design and optimize costs

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of two new IP67-sealed panel potentiometers with built-in knob switches -P16F and PA16F. Vishay Sfernice P16F and PA16F potentiators with dielectric strength up to 5000 VAC and power rating of 1 W at +40 C can be used to simplify industrial and audio application design and optimize cost.

     The device integrates knobs and panel potentiometers in a single component, eliminating the need to purchase and assemble separate knobs. In addition, only the mounting hardware and terminals are located on the back of the panel, and the gap required on the back of the micro potentiometer panel is less than 15 mm.

     The PA16F uses a conductive plastic resistance core for audio applications, and the P16F cermet knob potentiometer is suitable for industrial motor drives, welding equipment, HVAC and lighting systems, and control panels. The device is fully sealed to IP67 standards and can operate reliably in extreme environmental conditions.

     Potentiometers can be customized with knob scales, resistance values, wires and connectors, as well as pawl and switch options. Metal knobs are also available on request. P16F and PA16F meet CECC 41000 or IEC 60393-1 test standards.
